Parts To Be Made
(1) For the machines with 4N100 Engine Block Assemblies, make plate (1) from 9.5 (.38") thick mild steel to the dimensions shown. For machines with 7N8600 Block Assemblies, make plate (2) from 9.5 (.38") thick mild steel to the dimensions shown. For all machines, make plate (3) from 6.0 (.25") thick mild steel to the dimensions shown. (2) For machines with 4N100 Engine Block Assemblies, tackweld plate (3) to plate (1) at the dimensions shown. Make a 3.0 (.12") fillet weld along each side of plate (3). For machines with 7N8600 Engine Block Assemblies, tackweld plate (3) to plate (2) at the dimensions shown.Installation Of Parts
(1) Release the pressure and drain the oil from the hydraulic tank. Remove tube assembly (1), hose (2), tube assembly (3), the seals and the screen from the hydraulic tank. Remove tube assemblies (4) and (5), tee (6) and elbow (7). Remove hydraulic pump (8). Remove the drive gear from pump (8). All these parts except the drive gear will not be needed again. Remove the former hose and install 6S4899 Hose Assembly (9) where the former hose was removed. (2) Install former pump drive gear (10) on 4T5946 Pump Group (11) with the original nut and a 7B3770 Locknut. Tighten the nut to 70 7 N m (50 5 lb.ft.) torque. Install pump (11) and a 7J8114 Gasket on the engine with former bolts (12), the nuts and four 5P8245 Washers, one on each end of the bolts. Put 9S3263 Thread Lock on the threads of the bolts. Tighten the nuts to 135 15 N m (100 10 lb.ft.) torque. Remove the two bolts (13) from the rear of pump (11). Remove the lockwashers from the bolts and install 5P8244 Washers on the bolts. For machines with 7N8600 Engine Block Assemblies, loosely install bracket (14) (item 2, step 2, page 3) on pump (11). For machines with 4N100 Engine Block Assemblies, loosely install bracket (15) (item 1, step 2, page 3) on pump (11). Use thread lock on the bolt threads. Fasten bracket (14) or (15) to the engine block with two S1585 Bolts (16), 5B546 Spacers and 5P8245 Washers as shown. Use thread lock on the bolts. Tighten bolts (13) to 70 15 N m (50 10 lb.ft.) and bolts (16) to 100 15 N m (75 10 lb.ft.) torque. Check the torque on bolts (12) and again tighten to 135 15 N m (100 10 lb.ft.) torque. (3) Install 5G4906 Strainer (17) and 5G4933 Tube Assembly (18) in the hydraulic tank with 4J522 and 4J523 Seals and four T768 Bolts and 5P8244 Washers. Install 5G4937 Tube Assembly (19) and a 4J527 Seal on pump (11) with two 1D4566 Bolts and two 1A1460 Bolts and four 5P8245 Washers. Connect tube (18) to tube (19) with 5P1293 Hose Assembly (20) and three 5P598 Clamps. Install 665112 Elbow (21) and 343285 Elbow (22) in pump (11) with 7M8485 and 3D2824
