(21) Joystick slide control for the swing boom When the joystick slide control is moved from the center position, an electrical signal is sent to the solenoid valve for a swing boom function. Pilot oil is then supplied to the control valve for the swing boom (3) in order to shift the spool.Moving the joystick slide control to the left allows pump oil to flow to the head end of the swing boom cylinder. This action causes the swing boom to swing left. Moving the joystick slide control to the right allows pump oil to flow to the rod end of the swing boom cylinder. This action causes the swing boom to swing right.

(25) Port for swing boom (LEFT) When joystick slide control (21) is depressed to the right, an electrical signal is sent to solenoid (15). The solenoid shifts the hydraulic spool. When the spool shifts, the pilot oil is directed to the port for swing boom (RIGHT) (24). Pilot oil flows through port (24) from solenoid vale (15). The oil enters the control valve for the swing boom. The pilot oil then shifts the spool in the control valve for the swing boom. The shifted spool allows pump oil to flow to swing boom cylinder (1) for a swing RIGHT.The operation similar when joystick slide control (21) is depressed to the left. Pilot oil flows through port (25) from solenoid valve (16). The oil enters the control valve for the swing boom. The pilot oil then shifts the spool in the control valve for the swing boom. The shifted spool allows pump oil to flow to swing boom cylinder (1) for a swing LEFT.Swing Right
