Attach a suitable lifting device to steering cylinder (1). The weight of steering cylinder (1) is approximately 51 kg (112 lb).
Apply Tooling (E) to the pin bores of steering cylinder (1) .
Install steering cylinder (1) .

Align the bores of the front frame and of the steering cylinder. Install pin (19), washers (17) (as required) and spacers (18) .

Install three plastic plugs (21) to collet (15) .

Install three bungs (14) to collet (15) .
Repeat Step 5 and Step 6 for collet (20) .
Apply Tooling (F) to the inside diameter and the outside diameter of collet (15) and (20) .
Install collet (15) and (20) .
Apply Tooling (F) to the threads of bolt (16) prior to installation. Install bolt (16), and the washer.Note: The collet on one side must not extend farther than the other when the bolt is tight.
Tighten bolt (16) to a torque of 370 50 N m (275 37 lb ft). After the bolt is tight, hit the collet on each side with a heavy hammer until the torque on the bolt is less than 200 N m (150 lb ft).
Tighten bolt (16) to 370 50 N m (275 37 lb ft). Hit the collet on each side with a heavy hammer until the torque on the bolt is less than 285 N m (210 lb ft).
Tighten bolt (16) to a final torque of 370 50 N m (275 37 lb ft).Note: At the end of 50 service hours after any pin and collet was installed, loosen bolt (16) and then perform Steps 11 through Step 13.

Connect hose assembly (13) .

Apply Tooling (G) to the mounting surface of cover (10). Install cover (10) .
Install the O-ring seal (not shown) to the elbow prior to connecting hose assembly (12). Connect hose assembly (12) .
Position the clips and install bolt (11), the washer, and the nut.

Install O-ring seal (9) to the adapter.

Align the bores of the rear frame and of the oscillating hitch. Install pin (22) and washers (7) (as required).
Repeat Step 5 through 13 to install the rod end collet assembly.

Connect hose assembly (2) to steering cylinder (1) .
Install the fuel tank (if the right side steering cylinder was removed). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Tank - Install".
Lubricate the steering cylinder bearings. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Cylinder Bearings - Lubricate".
Fill the hydraulic system with oil to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check".End By: Separate the steering
