Removal Procedure
Start by:a. Connect the Steering Frame Lock.

Attach a suitable lifting device to center drive shaft (1). The weight of center drive shaft (1) is approximately 85 kg (187 lb).
Remove bolts (2) from the front drive shaft yoke.
Remove bolts (3) from the rear drive shaft yoke.
Remove center drive shaft (1).Installation Procedure
When the center drive shaft is installed, it must be installed in phase with the front and rear drive shafts. Serious component damage could occur. Be certain that all the joint group, all the yokes, and all the lubricating fittings are aligned.
Clean the mating faces of the yokes, the drive shaft, and the spider bearings.

Use a suitable lifting device to position center drive shaft (1). The weight of center drive shaft (1) is approximately 85 kg (187 lb).
Install bolts (2) and (3). Tighten bolts (2) and (3) to a torque of 520 70 N m (384 52 lb ft).
End by:a. Separate the Steering Frame Lock.
