(7) Valve spool The outlet relief valve for the torque converter is fastened to the torque converter case. The outlet relief valve maintains pressure in the torque converter.Oil flows into valve body (1) through inlet passage (2). The oil moves valve spool (7) against the force of spring (4) and spring (5). When the pressure of the oil becomes greater than the force of the springs, the movement of valve spool (7) allows the oil to flow through outlet passage (3).Oil flows from outlet passage (3) to the power train oil cooler.
