Wipe off all of the fittings before lubricating. Lubricate all of the grease fittings and make sure that the fittings accept the grease.
(1) Bottom pin on the cylinders for the tongs (2 fittings)
(2) Pin for the tongs (2 fittings)
(3) Top pin on the cylinders for the tongs (2 fittings)
(4) Ball bearings for the swivel (2 fittings)
(5) Jib boom (1 fitting)
(6) Pin for the fixed end of the cylinder for the jib (1 fitting)
(7) Pin for the rod end of the main cylinder (1 fitting)
(8) Pin for the rod end of the cylinder for the jib (1 fitting)
(9) Pin for the rod end of the main cylinder (1 fitting)
(10) Top bearing for the king post (1 fitting)

Inspect all hydraulic fittings for leakage.
Inspect hoses for wear. Record damaged hoses or worn hoses for replacement. Replace the worn hoses or the damaged hoses, as needed.
Inspect pin locations for excessive wear. Replace the pins when wear exceeds .51 mm (.020 inch).
Inspect various points for an accumulation of trash. Remove any trash buildup. Especially remove the trash buildup around the guards for the rods.
Inspect the grapple head for excessive swing movement. Tighten the snubber in order to prevent damage to boom cylinders.
