OK - There is a problem between the machine connector and the switches.Repair: Reconnect the J3/P3 machine connector. Proceed to Test Step 5.
Not OK - There is a problem between the machine connector and the ECM.Repair: Leave the J3/P3 machine connector disconnected. Proceed to Test Step 4.Test Step 4. Check the Switch Circuits at the ECM
Turn the keyswitch to the OFF position.
Insert a 7X-1715 Adapter Cable (Forty-Pin Breakout) and a 134-5195 Adapter Cable between the J1 and P1 ECM connectors.
Turn the keyswitch to the ON position.Note: The J3/P3 machine connector must be disconnected.
While the status for the remote throttle switch is monitored, use a jumper wire to connect the following terminals to J1:29 (Digital Return) on the ECM connector:
