Note: Machine movement is possible during ACS attachment valve calibration procedures. The calibration may be aborted by releasing all control levers.Cracking Point Calibration
Use the following procedure to detect the current of the valve cracking point.Monitor Procedure
Table 1
ACS Other Valves
ACS Attachment Valve #1
Start the engine.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 55° 5°C (131° 9°F).
Enter the Service Menu.
Enter service password "9992".
Select "Calibration" menu.
Illustration 3 g03377052
Select "ACS Other Valves" from the "Calibrations" menu. Refer to Table 1 for appropriate calibration.
Illustration 4 g03377096
Select "ACS Atch Valve #1" from the "ACS Other Valves" menu. Refer to Table 1 for appropriate calibration.
Follow the instructions on the monitor to complete the calibration.
If the calibration was successful and no errors occurred, the display will indicate the calibration is complete. Note: The "Error" screen will be displayed on the monitor if an error occurs. The process of the calibration will not be saved and the process must be restarted.ET Procedure

ACS Valve Calibrations
Attachment #1 Valve Calibration
Start the engine.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 55° 5°C (131° 9°F).
Select the ECM for "Machine Control".
Select "Calibrations" from the "Service" menu.
Select appropriate calibrations to complete. Refer to Table 2.
Select "Start".
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the calibration.
If no error occurs, the calibration was completed successfully. Slope Calibration
ET Procedure
Enter slope (gain) code manually the attachment PHMV's. Slope calibrations must be completed using Cat® ET 2013C or later.

Locate the slope (gain) code of the PHMV. Note: The stamped slope (gain) code (21) can be found on the end of all PHMV's.Note: Refer to Special Instruction, REHS8064 in order to find the correct "ET Entry" for PHMV's with a Year / Week (22) stamp before 1338 (38th week of 2013).
Illustration 6 g03588361
Navigate to the "Configuration" screen within Cat® ET. Refer to Illustration 6.
Illustration 7 g03588368
Double click on a PHMV to change the slope (gain) value. The "Change Parameter Value" window will open. Refer to Illustration 7.
Illustration 8 g03655536
Enter the slope (gain) value "code" that is stamped on the solenoid nut into the "New Value" field inside the "Change Parameter Value" window. Click "OK" to update the slope (gain) value. Refer to Illustration 8.
Illustration 9 g03588376
Cat® ET will then populate the corresponding gain field with the correct slope (gain) value for the data that was entered in Step 4. Proceed to program the slope (gain) values for each PHMV.
Check to make sure that the new slope value is correct. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS8064 for Slope Value Reference Table.
