Rotor with shaft locking device attached
Remove the shaft locking device. Do not misplace any of the hardware associated with the locking device.
Ensure that the bearing is properly greased. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8852, Roller Bearing - Check Section for further information on greasing the bearings.

Rotating the rotor using an M36 bolt
Turn the rotor by hand if possible. Make 10 and one-quarter revolutions. Rotating the rotor will keep the bearings lubricated. The shaft will also be repositioned to avoid sitting on the same spot for an extended period of time.If the rotor cannot be turned by hand, install an M36 bolt to the end of the draft end shaft. Use a large spanner or pipe wrench to rotate the shaft using the bolt. Refer to Illustration 3.
Reinstall the shaft locking device. Ensure that the bolts of the shaft locking device are properly torqued.
