Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.
When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.

(1) Apply Tooling (G) to the threads of bolt (1) . (2) Torque for bolt (1) ... 520 70 N m (384 52 lb. ft.) (3) Lubricate sealing lips with a thin covering of the lubricant that is being sealed. (4) Apply Tooling (H) to the wiper seal groove before you assemble the wiper seal to the head. (5) Lubricate the threads with clean grease. Torque the cylinder head to 600 130 N m (440 95 lb ft). (6) Apply Tooling (G) to the bearing bore prior to installation. Install bearing (5) 10.3 0.5 mm (0.41 0.02 inch) below the face. (7) Install bearing (6) 13.35 0.50 mm (0.526 0.020 inch) below the face.Installation Procedure

Position blade tip cylinder (7) onto the machine. Install pins (3) and (6) . Install bolt (5) . Install cotter pin (2) . Connect hose assemblies (4) .

Remove Tooling (A) from the hydraulic tank.
Check the hydraulic system oil level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check".
Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
