Remove bolt (5) and nut (4) from both sides of the seat. Lift cushion (7) to upper hole (6). Install bolt (5) into upper hole (6) on both sides of the seat. Tighten nut (4) on both sides of the seat.Cushion Tilt Adjustment - Caterpillar Optimized Seat System

The seat cushion tilt (6) is adjusted by a pin in a groove. Grasp the seat pan (7) and rotate forward-up-and back for steeper angle positions or forward-down-and back for shallower angle positions.Isolation and Weight Adjustment

This seat has an automatic damping adjustment determined by the weight of the operator.

Note: Adjustment to the air valve knob should only be done when the machine is stationary.The indicator light (8) shows if power is present to the shock control unit and health of the shock control unit. The indicator light also shows if the operator is at the proper ride height. There are two colored lights on the indicator light (8), blue and green. The blue light indicates power is present to the shock control unit. No green light indicates service required for the shock control unit. A blinking green light indicates the operator is too high or too low in suspension height. An adjustment to the air valve knob (2) is needed. A solid green light indicates the operator has the suspension adjusted to the proper ride height.Fore and Aft Adjustment

Note: The seat suspension mounts to both the Comfort seat and the Road King seat styles. The swivel assembly mounts to the Caterpillar Optimized Seat System.Right slider track (10) and left slider track (12) connect the seat assembly to the suspension. Rack (11) provides the connection to the fore and aft adjuster on the seat.The suspension has four sliders. The sliders determine the effort that is required to move the seat.After the seat is installed, the sliders require adjustment. The sliders are adjusted from the side of the seat that faces the access door of the machine. Use the following steps in order to adjust the sliders.

The two sliders (14) are located on each side of the suspension (13). The sliders that are located near the access door for the cab have adjustment screws (15) .
Access holes are provided in the sides of the seat assembly. Move the seat until the access holes are in line with the adjustment screws.
Tighten adjustment screws (15) in the sliders. Move the seat. A resistance of approximately 9 kg (20 lb) should be felt.
