Personal injury or death can result from lifting a heavy component.The heavy component can fall if using an incorrect hoist and/or sling or fastener to lift the load.Be sure the hoist and other devices have the correct lifting capacity to lift a heavy component. The approximate weight of the heavy component is given below.
Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all harness assemblies, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.Start By:
Remove the muffler.
Remove the air cleaner.
Remove the cooling system package.
Remove the operators platform.
Remove the alternator.
Remove the refrigerant compressor.
Remove the starter.
Remove the transmission cooler.
Remove the brake accumulator.
Remove the transmission filter.
Remove the hydraulic filter.
Remove the intermediate drive shaft.
Remove the rear drive shaft.
Remove the piston pump (steering).

Remove hoses (1) and (2).

Remove hose assembly (3).

Disconnect and reposition wire harness (4).

Remove hose assemblies (7) and (9). Remove valve (8).

Remove hose assembly (10). Remove hose (11).

Attach Tooling (A), (B), and a suitable lifting device to engine and transmission (13). The weight of engine and transmission (13) is approximately 1842 kg (4061 lb).

Remove transmission mount bolt (14). Repeat for the opposite side.

Remove engine mount bolt (15). Repeat for the opposite side.

Raise engine and transmission (13) slightly.
Remove transmission mount (16). Repeat for the opposite side.

Remove bolts (17) and (18). Remove bracket (19). Repeat for the opposite side.
Remove engine and transmission (13).Installation Procedure
Install engine and transmission (13) in the reverse order of removal.Note: Engine and transmission (13) must be lowered into the machine before brackets (19) can be installed.
