Information:
For photographic purposes, the engine has been removed from the tractor.
At operating temperature, the engine cooling system is hot and under pressure. Steam can cause personal injury. Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap on the radiator is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure. Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact the skin. Be sure that the engine and components are cool enough to touch with your bare hand prior to performing any service work.
1. Drain the engine oil into a suitable container. The capacity of the engine is 26 liters (6.8 U.S. gal).2. Drain the coolant into a suitable container. The capacity of the cooling system is 60.6 liters (16 U.S. gal). 3. Using tooling (A), remove oil filter assembly(1).4. Remove the turbocharger oil drain line tube assembly (2). 5. Remove six bolts (3) and washers from oil filter base assembly (4).6. Remove two bolts (5) and washers from tube assembly (6).7. Support engine oil cooler (7), and remove six bolts and washers (8). Move the front bonnet on its O-ring as necessary, and remove engine oil cooler (7) and oil filter base assembly (4) along with its O-rings. 8. Remove four bolts and washers (9), and remove oil filter base assembly (4) and its O-rings from engine oil cooler (7).9. Use an appropriate sized diameter rod to clean the tube bundles inside of the core assembly of the engine oil cooler (7). The following steps are for the installation of the engine oil coller. Clean and inspect all O-rings prior to installation. Check for any worn or damaged seals, and replace if necessary.10. Position oil filter base assembly (4) and its O-rings against engine oil cooler (7), and secure it with four bolts and washers (9).11. Position engine oil filter base assembly (4), tube assembly (6), and engine oil cooler (7) along with their O-rings against the engine. Install and hand tighten bolts and washers (3), (5), and (8). Once all of the bolts and washers are in position, carefully tighten them to the standard torque value.12. Install turbocharger oil drain line tube assembly (2) and oil filter assembly (1).13. Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. See "Lubricant Viscosities & Refill Capacities" in the Operations & Maintenance Manual.14. Fill the engine with oil.
