Remove the left and right front wheels.

Position Tooling (A) under drive shaft guard (1). Remove the bolts and use Tooling (A) to remove drive shaft guard (1).

Remove bolts (2) and the straps. Remove bolts (4) and the straps. Remove front drive shaft (3).

Disconnect hose assembly (5).

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to fixed axle (8). The weight of fixed axle (8) is approximately 1230 kg (2710 lb).

Remove bolts (9).

Remove bolts (10).
Repeat Steps 7 and 8 for the opposite side of the machine.

Use Tooling (B) and the suitable lifting device to lower the fixed axle (8) onto Tooling (C). Remove the suitable lifting device from fixed axle (8). Use Tooling (C) to move fixed axle (8) from under the machine.Installation Procedure
Install fixed axle (8) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolts (10) to a torque of 900 100 N m (660 74 lb ft).
Tighten bolts (9) to a torque of 900 100 N m (660 74 lb ft).
Tighten bolts (2) in an “X” pattern to a torque of 71 10 N m (52 7 lb ft).
