Active and logged events are displayed on the following equipment:Advisor
Advisor alerts the operator when an event code is active.Cat® ET
When an abnormal condition occurs, an event is displayed on the Cat® ET screen in the following format:
"EXXXX" Is a description of the code. The "E" means that the code is an event code.
"XXXX" is a numeric identifier. A description follows the numeric identifier. Active event codes are listed in ascending numerical order. The code with the lowest number is listed first. The active event code is removed from the list when the condition is no longer present.Logged Event Codes
Some event codes are logged in the ECM memory and some event codes are active only. The logged event codes are listed in chronological order, the most recent is listed first.A logged code is cleared from memory when one of the following occur:
The code is manually cleared
The code does not reoccur for 1000 hours
A new code is logged and there are already ten logged codes in memory, the oldest logged code is clearedNote: Always clear logged event codes after investigating and correcting the problem that generated a code.Troubleshooting
Perform the following to troubleshoot an event:
Obtain the following information from the operator:
Event
Time of the event
Engine operating conditions during the event, conditions such as rpm and load are important
Are there any systems installed by the dealer or customer that could cause the event
Verify that the following did not cause the event:
Normal machine operation
Operator error
Check all fluid and oil levels.
Troubleshoot and repair any active diagnostic codes.Brake ECM Event Code List
Table 2 lists the brake system event codes. Use Cat ET to determine the event codes that are active or logged.

Cause: Brake accumulator pressure is equal to or less than 12400 kPa (1798 psi).
Resets:
1. Keyswitch is off.
2. Engine is not running.
3. Brake accumulator pressure is equal to or less than
13600 kPa (1973 psi).
4. Service Brake Accumulator Pressure is not known.
284 2 Low brake accumulator pressure Response: Change operation or perform maintenance.
Cause: Brake accumulator pressure is equal to or less than
12400 kPa (1798 psi). Shift lever position is not in PARK.
Resets:
1. Shift lever in PARK position and secondary brake pressure is low or brake accumulator pressure is greater than
13600 kPa (1973 psi).
2. Keyswitch is off.
