Use Tooling (C) in order to install bushing (20) and seal (19). Install bushing (20) and seal (19) to the depth of Dimension (A). Dimension (A) is measured from Surface (X) to seal (19). Dimension (A) is equal to 9.0 mm (0.35 inch).

Raise the temperature of bearing cone (18). Install bearing cone (18). Install spacer (17).

Lower the temperature of bearing cups (13) and (15). Use Tooling (C) in order to install bearing cups (13) and (15) into wheel flange (11). Use Tooling (C) in order to install seal (16) into wheel flange (11). Install seal (16) to the depth of Dimension (B). Dimension (B) is equal to 4.0 mm (0.16 inch). Install O-ring seal (14).

Install wheel flange (11) and bearing cone (12).

Install ring gear hub (10) into ring gear (8). Install retaining ring (9).

Use Tooling (A) in order to install spanner nut (5). Tighten spanner nut (5) to a torque of 1000 50 N m (740 37 lb ft). Install locking plate (6) and new bolts (7). Tighten bolts (7) to a torque of 70 4 N m (52 3 lb ft).

Install axle shaft (4).

Use Tooling (B) in order to install retaining ring (2) into sleeve (3). Install sleeve (3). Install axle shaft (1). End By:
Install the final drive planetary.
Install the axle housing, the axle shaft, and the wheel flange onto the axle.
