Attach a suitable lifting device to boom cylinder (6). The weight of boom cylinder (6) is approximately 285 kg (630 lb).
Remove bolts (5). Remove retainer plate (7).

Remove spacer (8).

Use a hammer and a punch to remove the pin from the rod end of boom cylinder (6).

Position Tooling (A) so that the boom cylinder will be supported in a horizontal position. Lower boom cylinder (6) to Tooling (A).

Remove shim (9). Repeat for the opposite side.
Repeat Step 4 through Step 9 for the other boom cylinder.

Remove bolts (12). Open door (11).

Remove bolts (13). Remove the storage box.

Remove bolts (17). Remove handrail (16).

Disconnect hose assemblies (20) and remove elbows (19). Remove accumulator (18).

Remove the bolt from pin (21).

Attach a suitable lifting device to boom (22), as shown. The weight of the boom and the stick cylinder is approximately 1635 kg (3600 lb). Apply slight lifting tension to the boom.

Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (B). Remove pin (21). The weight of Tooling (B) and pin (21) is approximately 159 kg (350 lb). Remove pin (21).
Carefully remove the boom from the machine. The weight of the boom and the stick cylinder is approximately 1635 kg (3600 lb).
