Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Use Tooling (D) and a suitable press to install bearings (19) and spacer (20) .

Install washers (18). Install retaining rings (17) .

Use a suitable press in order to install shaft (16) in the water pump housing.

Use Tooling (B) to install retaining ring (15) .
Install the seal assembly in the water pump housing with a pipe that is 38.1 mm (1.50 inch) in diameter and of suitable length.

Use Tooling (A) to install retaining ring (14) .

Install plate (12). Ensure that locator pin (13) is aligned with the slot in the water pump housing.

Position cam (11) in the water pump housing.
Lubricate O-ring seal (9) with Tooling (F). Install bolt (10) and install O-ring seal (9) .

Install the key on the water pump shaft.
Install pump impeller (8) .

Position cover plate (7) and install bolts (6) .

Ensure that lip seal (5) is seated properly in mounting plate (4) .

Position mounting plate (4) and install bolts (3) .
Position gear (2) and install nut (1) .End By: Install the auxiliary water pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Auxiliary Water Pump - Install".
