Movement of the machine could result in death or personal injury. Shut the 3208T (Engine B) diesel engine down. Tag the machine controls. Lock the main battery switch at OFF before starting work.
1. Remove the track fender.2. Loosen the jam nuts.3. Turn the adjusting bolts to relieve all tension in the track.4. Remove the retaining cap from the shaft.5. Loosen the setscrews in the bearing collar.6. Slide the bearing off the shaft. The following steps are for the installation of the idler sprocket bearing.7. Slide the new bearing onto the shaft.8. Position the bearing in the track frame.9. Install the retaining cap.10. Tighten the setscrews in the bearing collar.11. Lubricate the bearing.12. Refer to the topic "Track Chain Adjustment", after completion, install the track guard.
