Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: The cooling system components and weights may vary depending on your arrangement.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to radiator group (6). The weight of radiator group (6) is approximately 862 kg (1900 lb). Place radiator group (6) in position.

Illustration 5 g01415834Note: Do not tighten bolts (8) and (7) until the fan is centered in the radiator.
Install bolts (8) and (7).

Connect tube assembly (5).

Connect hose assemblies (4).

Install elbow (3), clamps (2), and bolts (1).
Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change". End By:
Install the fan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan - Remove and Install".
