Note: The brake system is a complete hydraulically controlled system. The brakes are located on the axle shafts.

The release bolt may be used to release the parking brake when pressure is not available for the release of the parking brake. This is accomplished by removing cotter pin (1) and by turning nut (2) that is on the release bolt counterclockwise until the spring retaining cap also turns in a counterclockwise direction.The release bolt and the nut may also be used to remove the load from the threads of the spring retaining cap in order to aid in brake adjustment on the disc.
