Removal Procedure
Be sure that the engine cannot be started while service work is being done. This is very important when the engine is equipped with an Automatic Start-Stop System. On engines equipped with an air starting system, close the air supply valve that supplies air to the starter motor before service work is begun.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Disconnect rod assembly (1) from the governor actuator rod.
Remove bolts (3) that hold governor actuator (2) to the camshaft cover.
Remove governor actuator (2). Installation Procedure

Position governor actuator (2) on the camshaft cover and install bolts (3).
Connect rod assembly (1) to the governor actuator rod.
Adjust the governor actuator linkage. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Adjusting the Governor Linkage".
