start by:a) remove crankshaft pulleyb) remove oil pan 1. Remove suction bell assembly (1) from the oil pump. 2. Put tool (A) and a hydraulic jack in position under the engine for support.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE3. Remove lower radiator elbow (3) and hose (2) from the water pump housing. 4. Remove the nuts, bolts (4) and washers that hold each side of the engine front support.
Do not lift the engine more than 1 in. (25.4 mm) or damage to the oil line connections can be the result.
5. Lift the engine with tool (A) and the hydraulic jack until the engine front support is not in contact with the frame. 6. Remove bolts (5) to remove engine front support (6).Install Engine Front Support
1. Put engine front support (1) in position and install the bolts that hold it to the timing gear cover. 2. Put washers (2) between the engine front support and frame. Install the bolts, washers and nuts that hold each side of the engine front support (hand tight only).3. Lower the engine with tool (A) and a hydraulic jack until the front support is in contact with the frame.4. Tighten the bolts that hold the engine front support in position.5. Remove tool (A) and the hydraulic jack. 6. Install lower radiator elbow (4) and hose (3) to the water pump housing. 7. Put the gasket and suction bell assembly (5) in position on the oil pump.
