3. Disconnect governor linkage (1) from the governor lever.4. Remove bolt (2) and nut (4). Remove bracket (5). Remove fuel filter outlet line (3) from the filter and fuel injection pump housing. 5. Disconnect fuel supply line (6) from fuel supply line (9). Remove bolt (7) and disconnect fuel supply line (9) from the transfer pump. Remove fuel supply line (9).6. Disconnect fuel filter supply line (8) from the fuel filter and transfer pump. Remove the bolt that holds the clip for fuel filter supply line (8) to the governor housing. Remove fuel filter supply line (8). 7. Remove bracket (10).8. Disconnect oil supply line (11) from the oil manifold. 9. Remove bolts (13) that hold the fuel injection pump housing to the accessory drive. Remove fuel injection pump housing and governor (12) as a unit.10. Remove oil manifold (14).Install Fuel Injection Pump Housing And Governor
1. Make sure O-ring seals (1) are in position on the oil manifold. Put oil on all the O-ring seals on the oil manifold.2. Install oil manifold (2) on the bottom of the fuel injection pump housing.3. Check the timing of the accessory drive shaft. See INSTALL ACCESSORY DRIVE HOUSING.
Make sure the oil manifold sleeve slides into the fitting in the timing gear plate and oil supply tube (4) slides into the fitting on the oil manifold when the fuel injection housing and governor are installed.
4. Install the gasket between the fuel injection housing and the accessory drive housing. Put fuel injection pump housing and governor (3) in position as a unit. Make sure the end of the accessory drive shaft is engaged in the groove (slot) in the fuel injection pump camshaft. 5. Put bracket (6) in position and install the two bolts that hold the bracket. Do not tighten the bolts.6. Install bolts (5) that hold the fuel injection pump housing to the accessory drive. Tighten the two bolts that hold bracket (6) in place.7. Connect oil supply tube (4). 8. Connect fuel supply line (13) to the transfer pump and to fuel supply line (10).9. Connect fuel filter supply line (14) to the transfer pump and to the fuel filter.10. Install the clips that hold the fuel supply line and fuel filter supply line in place.11. Tighten valves (12) for the fuel supply line and the fuel filter supply line to a torque of 18 to 22 lb.ft. (24 to 28 N m).12. Connect governor linkage (11) to the governor lever.13. Install fuel filter outlet line (8) to the fuel injection pump housing and fuel filter.14. Install clips (7) and bracket (9) that hold the outlet line in place.15. Turn the valve on the bottom of the fuel tank to the "ON" position.16.
