Remove the final drive, the brake, the wheel, and the spindle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Final Drive, Brake, and Wheel - Remove".

Remove bolts (1) and piston assembly (2). Remove O-ring seal (3).

Remove retaining ring (4) and wear plate (5).

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retaining ring (8). Remove spacer (7).

Remove friction discs (9) and wear plates (10).

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Position piston assembly (2) into a suitable press.
Use Tooling (B) and the suitable press in order to compress springs (13). Compress springs (13) and remove retaining pins (12) from spring guides (11). Release the pressure from the suitable press.
Remove springs (13) and spring guides (11) from piston assembly (2).

Remove O-ring seal (14) from piston housing (15).

Remove piston (16) from piston housing (15).

Install piston housing (15) in the reverse order of removal.
