Start By:a. remove hydraulic tank1. Drain the oil from the transmission and transfer gear group 2. Fasten chains and a hoist to transmission cover (1) and raise it. Disconnect support cylinder (2) from the cover and remove bolts (3). Remove transmission cover (1). Weight of the transmission cover is 34 Kg (75 lb.). 3. Disconnect electrical wiring bulkhead (6). Remove bolts (5) [two on each side] and then remove pivot shield (4). 4. Remove air line (7) to the brake.5. Disconnect tank line (9) from the supplemental pump.6. Disconnect lines (10) from the transmission cover.7. Disconnect all lines (8) from the supplemental valve. Remove tubing (11) for clearance. 8. Remove drive shaft (14) from the transmission.9. Identify and disconnect all the hydraulic lines (12) from the front of the transmission.10. Disconnect hydraulic line (13). 11. Disconnect air line (15). Disconnect electrical wiring (16) and remove any retainers that might hold wiring (16) to the frame. 12. Disconnect drive shaft (17) from the transfer gear group. 13. Completely remove the drive shaft (18) between the axle housing and the transfer gear group. 14. Remove the bolts and cover from the transmission selector control linkage housing.15. Disconnect control linkage cable (19). 16. Remove two bolts (20) from the secondary brake cover and install tool (A). Install tool (B) on the front of the transmission and then fasten chains and a hoist. Remove the bolt from the top transmission mount.17. Remove bolts (22) and secure the transmission screen (21) to the transfer gear box.18. Remove bolts (23) to remove the top transmission mount.19. Remove four bolts (25) and remove adjustable transmission mount (24). There are shims behind mount (24), make sure the number of shims are recorded for installation purposes. 20. Remove yoke connecting rods (26) from each end of bellcrank (27) and then remove bellcrank (27). 21. Remove mounting bolts (29) from bottom transmission mounts.22. Remove bolts (28) and then remove the transmission mounts.23. Remove the transmission and transfer gears as a unit. The weight of the unit is 717 Kg (1580 lb.). Install the transmission and transfer gears in the reverse order of the removal. See Transmission Mountings Alignment Procedure in Specifications.
