"SET MACH" key - This key will enter the number "6" when a numerical entry is required. This key allows the operator to select two different machine conditions. These conditions are listed below:

"2:BLADE REPONSE"When the "SET MACH" key is pressed, the message area will display the following message:

Table 2
-MACHINE CONFIG-
2:BLADE REPONSE        The associated "number" key is used to select the desired configuration.Setting The "Spread Rate"
The "Spread Rate" option is used to adjust the ratio of "blade raise" and "spread movement". Changing the "Spread Rate" ratio will allow the operator to set the spread rate of the material at the end of the "dozing cycle". When the "Spread Rate" option is selected, the message area will display the following message:
Table 3
-SPREAD RATE 1-4-
1:NONE        Pressing the right arrow key repeatedly will display the other options that are available one at a time. The numeric key that is associated with each selection should be used to select the option. The blade initially raises three inches at the beginning of the "spread segment" in all cases. The options will then affect the "spread rate" in the following manner."1:NONE" - The blade will pitch forward until the desired "spread pitch set point" is achieved. The lift cylinders will react in order to maintain the height of the cutting edge."2:SLOW" - The blade will pitch forward while the cutting edge is raised slowly. The blade pitch will stop when the desired "spread pitch set point" is achieved. The blade will raise to the maximum height that is allowed for "spread pitch"."3:STD" - The blade will start to pitch forward while the blade raises at an intermediate rate. The blade pitch will stop moving when the desired "spread pitch set point" is achieved. The blade will raise to the maximum height that is allowed for the "spread pitch". "4:FAST" - The blade will start to pitch forward while the blade rapidly raises. The blade pitch will stop when the desired "spread pitch set point" is reached. The blade will raise to the maximum height that is allowed for the "spread pitch set point". After the operator selects one of the "spread rate" options, the message area will momentarily display a confirmation of the new "spread rate". The message center then returns to the background display.Setting The "Blade Response" For "Operator Commands"
The "Blade Response configuration" is used to adjust the "Blade Lift speed". In order for this configuration to function correctly, the "Blade Raise" and "Blade Lower" solenoids must be properly calibrated. There are three available settings for the "response speed". The three responses are listed below:
FINE
STANDARD
FASTWhen the "BLD RESPONSE" menu item is selected, the message area will display the following message:
Table 4
-BLD RESPONSE
1:FINE        Pressing the right "arrow" key repeatedly displays the other options
