Typical example
Position bearing housing (20) in a vise. Tighten the vise onto the edge of the mounting flange. Refer to Illustration 1.
Install the longer splined end of drive (19) into the output shaft of bearing housing (20).
Inspect O-ring seal (17) for the case drain hole. Install O-ring seal (18). Replace the O-ring seals if the O-ring seals are worn or damaged. Apply clean hydraulic oil to all O-ring seals during assembly.

For timing purposes, locate the largest open pocket in rotor set (16). Mark the location on the outside of the rotor set.
Align the case drain hole and the pressure relief hole in rotor set (16) with the case drain hole and the pressure relief hole in the bearing housing. Refer to Illustration 2 for the locations of the case drain hole and the pressure relief hole. Retain the rollers if the rollers are loose.

Install valve drive (15) into the rotor set.
Inspect O-ring seal (13) and O-ring seal (14). Replace the O-ring seals if the O-ring seals are worn or damaged. Apply clean hydraulic oil to all O-ring seals during assembly. Install O-ring seal (13) and O-ring seal (14) onto valve plate (12) .
Align the case drain hole of the valve plate with the case drain hole of the rotor set. Install valve plate (12) onto the rotor set. Refer to Illustration 3 for the location of the case drain hole of the valve plate.
For timing purposes, locate the opening in the valve plate that is in alignment with the largest opening of the rotor set.

For timing purposes, locate any one of the side openings of valve (11). Refer to Illustration 10 for the location of the side openings of the valve.
Align the open side of valve (11) with the open slot of the valve plate that is in alignment with the largest open pocket of the rotor set.
Rotate valve (11) in a clockwise direction in order to engage the valve with the splines of the valve drive.

Apply clean grease on two springs (7). Install the two springs into the holes that are located inside valve housing (3). Refer to Illustration 6 for the location of the holes.
Inspect O-ring seal (5) and O-ring seal (6). Replace the O-ring seals if the O-ring seals are worn or damaged. Apply clean hydraulic oil to all O-ring seals during assembly. Install O-ring seal (5) and O-ring seal (6) onto valve housing (3) .

Inspect inner face seal (10) and outer face seal (9). Replace the seals if the seals are worn or damaged. Apply clean hydraulic oil to all seals during assembly. Install inner face seal (10) and outer face seal (9) onto balance ring (8). Refer to Illustration
