The Procedure Before The Accumulator Purges
When the engine is running, the bulldozer blade can be lowered by pushing the work tool control forward. For a short amount of time, after the engine has been stopped, the bulldozer blade can be lowered by pushing the implement control lever forward.
Illustration 1 g06127173Make sure that hydraulic lockout switch (1) has not cut inputs to the hydraulic control circuit. The implement lever and the hydraulic valves must be active.
LOWER - Push work tool control (2) forward to lower the bulldozer blade. Release the lever. The lever will return to the HOLD position.
LOWER - Move ripper raise/lower control (3) in a counterclockwise direction to lower the ripper. Release the lever. The lever will return to the HOLD position. The Procedure After The Accumulator Purges
After the engine has been stopped for a short amount of time, the control levers will not lower the implements to the ground. There is a mechanical method that can be used to lower the attachments.
Illustration 2 g06149450The valves are located under work tool control (2). It requires removing floor plates to access the valves.Relieve the pressure in the hydraulic tank.A bolt with "9/16 - 18 x 64 mm" threads is stored in the right-hand compartment where the power train filter is housed. This bolt may be used to lower the implements.

EH quick pressure taps
Lower Dozer Blade
Connect the drain hose to quick pressure tap (3). Run the hose to the hydraulic tank filler neck.
Remove quick pressure tap (4).Note: Depending on the hydraulic system, remove the pressure tap or the pilot hydraulic line.
Slowly insert the bolt to lower the dozer.Lower Ripper
Remove quick pressure tap (5).Note: The drain hose is not required.Note: Depending on the hydraulic system, remove the pressure tap or the pilot hydraulic line.
Slowly insert the bolt to lower the ripper.
Return the bolt to the storage position and return quick pressure tap (4).
