Tool    Item    Qty    Part No    Description
A         198-4240     Digital Pressure Indicator Gp
    A1     1     198-4234     Digital Indicator
A2 1     198-4239     Pressure Sensor Gp
(0 to 41,368 kPa (0 to 6,000 psi))
A3 1     198-4236     Adapter Cable As    Machine Preparation
Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location. Move away from any machines that are working and any personnel.
Move the shift control lever control to the P position. Fully raise the dump body of the truck.
Install the retaining cables for the dump body.
Move the hoist control to the FLOAT position and lower the truck body until the cables are tight.
Move the hoist control to the HOLD position.
Stop the engine.
Permit only one operator on the machine. Either keep other personnel away from the machine, or keep other personnel in the sight of the operator.
Place wheel chocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.
Make sure that all air pressure and oil pressure is released before any fittings, hoses, or components are worked on.
Push the brake pedal many times until there is no brake pressure.Test Procedure
Perform the steps in the "Machine Preparation".

Installing Tooling (A) to pressure tap (1) .
Illustration 3 g03247312
From the home screen in Advisor, select "Service". Then select "Service Parameters", then select "Sort By Type", and select "Speeds". Scroll down to view the "Elect Drive Fan Speed".

(2) Solenoid valve (3) Adjustment screw
Unplug solenoid valve (2) on the electric drive fan motor from the wiring harness assembly.
Start the engine.Note: Because solenoid valve (2) is unplugged, a loping (steady up and down) sound may be heard from the electric drive fan motor.
Run the engine until the pressure on tooling (A) is above 230 bar (3335 psi).
Increase the engine speed to 1800 rpm (high idle)
Do not overspeed the fan. Maximum fan speed 3600 rpm.
Check the electric drive fan speed in Advisor.Fan speed should be 3250-3500 rpm. If the fan speed is not correct, proceed to the "Adjustment Procedure".
After the correct speed is reached, turn off the engine and reconnect solenoid valve (2) .Adjustment Procedure

(3) Adjustment screw (4) Distance of adjustment screw (2) from nutNote: A good initial distance (4) of adjustment screw (2) is approximately 10 mm (0.394 inch).
With the engine off, move adjustment screw (3) accordingly.Note: Each rotation of adjustment screw (3) will adjust the fan speed by approximately 100-150 rpm.If electric drive fan speed is greater than 3500 rpm, move adjustment screw in. If electric drive fan speed is less than 3250 rpm, move out the adjustment screw.Note: Use a hex key to hold setscrew in position and tighten the nut to a torque of 60 N m (44 lb ft).
