When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.

Remove bolts (1) and washers (2). Remove cover (3).

Use Tooling (A) in order to raise the front corner of the machine that is opposite of the side that is being worked on.

Attach a suitable lifting device and Tooling (H) to equalizer bar (4) .

Use Tooling (B) in order to remove pin (5) (not shown).

Use Tooling (C), Tooling (H), and a suitable lifting device in order to support equalizer bar (4) .

Remove bolt (6) .

Use Tooling (D) in order to remove pin assembly (7) .

Reposition equalizer bar (4) and reposition the suitable lifting device.
Remove equalizer bar (4). The weight of equalizer bar (4) is approximately 227 kg (500 lb).

Remove spacer (8) and seal (9). Repeat for the opposite side.

Use Tooling (E) in order to remove bearing (10) (not shown).

Remove four seals (11) .

Use Tooling (F) in order to remove retaining rings (12) .
Use Tooling (G) in order to remove bearings (13) .Installation Procedure
Install equalizer bar (4) in the reverse order of removal.
Use Tooling (J) in order to install bearings (13).
Use Tooling (K) in order to install four seals (11).
Use Tooling (L) in order to install bearing (10).
Use Tooling (K) in order to install seal (9) and spacer (8). Repeat for the opposite side.
