Wheel Speed Sensor LocationThe machine has four wheel speed sensors which are located under protective covers. The wheel speed sensors are located between each wheel and the frame of the machine. Before you replace the sensor, make sure that it is necessary. Always check that power is available to the sensor. Approximately +10 V is required between contact "A" and contact "B" of the machine harness connector for the sensor. Check the connectors for damage.Note: When the sensor is installed properly, the air gap of the speed sensor is adjusted automatically.

Wheel Speed Sensor (1) Self-adjustment head. (X) Dimension 6.5 mm (0.25 inch)
Before you remove the sensor, clean all dirt and debris away from the sensor housing. Do not allow any type of contamination into the axle cavity after the sensor is removed.
Turn the disconnect switch to the OFF position. Disconnect the machine harness connector from the speed sensor. Remove the speed sensor.
Place a small screwdriver in one of the slots of head (1) of the new wheel speed sendor. Use the screwdriver to fully extend head (1) of the new speed sensor. The self-adjustment head should be extended approximately 6.5 mm (0.25 inch) as shown in illustration 2.
Install the new speed sensor. Tighten the sensor to a torque of 25 5 N m (18 4 lb ft).Self-adjustment head (1) slides into the sensor body as self-adjustment head (1) contacts the gear face during installation. After the sensor is fully tightened, self-adjustment head (1) is at the correct air gap. No adjustments are required.
Inspect the sensor connector of the machine harness. Connect the machine harness to the speed sensor.
Install the sensor guards. Tighten the guard bolts to a torque of 100 20 N m (74 15 lb ft).
