Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the Backhoe from the host machine. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Installation".
Remove the stick. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Stick - Remove and Install".
Remove the boom. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Boom - Remove and Install".
Remove the Swing frame. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Swing Frame - Remove and Install".
Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.Make sure all of the work tools have been lowered to the ground, and the oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
Note: Put identification marks on all lines and on all fittings for installation purposes. Plug all lines. This will help to prevent fluid loss and this also helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Disconnect hydraulic line (1) .
Disconnect two hydraulic lines (2) from the union.
Remove four nuts (3) .

Attach a suitable lifting device (4) to the slide frame (5). The slide frame weighs 68 kg (150 lb).
Remove the slide frame (5) .Installation Procedure

Use a suitable lifting device (4) to install slide frame (5) into position. The slide frame weighs 68 kg (150 lb).Note: The group of hydraulic lines need to be fed through the hole in the frame while the frame is being installed.

Install four nuts (3). Tighten to a torque of 120 N m (89 lb ft).
Connect two hydraulic lines (2) to the union.
Connect hydraulic line (1) .End By:
Install the swing frame. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Swing Frame - Remove and Install".
Install the boom. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Boom - Remove and Install".
Install the stick. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Stick - Remove and Install".
