The switches are located on the hydraulic lines of the stick and the bucket to determine the "load/dump" state of the bucket. The switches must be installed on the high-pressure side of the hydraulic lines. If installed on low-pressure side, such as pilot lines, the switches might not be triggered.
Use a quick connect adaptor to install the pressure switches.
Manifold thread size required for pressure switches is 9/16-18.
Install so that the sensor input pressure port is lower than the connector end and as close to vertical as possible.
On final installation of pressure switch tighten 48 5 N m (35 4 lb ft).Required Parts

Perform the following procedure to install the pressure switches:
Ensure all energy sources (electrical, mechanical, kinetic, and hydraulic), are neutralized and all power sources are OFF and locked out.
Locate the connections of the pressure switch manifolds as close as possible to a connection point of the 6-pin DT of the 311-8687 Sensor Harness As and 311-8688 Sensor Harness As.
Install one pressure switch by breaking the hydraulic line above the head end of the stick cylinder and installing the appropriate size "T" connector and fittings.
Install the other pressure switch by breaking the hydraulic line above the head end of the bucket cylinder and installing the appropriate size "T" connector and fittings.
Disconnect the 6-pin DT receptacle/plug connection between the 311-8687 Sensor Harness As and 311-8688 Sensor Harness As .
Connect the 6-pin DT receptacle of the 381-8746 Sensor Harness As to the 6-pin DT plug of the 311-8687 Sensor Harness As or 311-8688 Sensor Harness As and the 381-8746 Sensor Harness As to the other end of the disconnected angle sensor harness.
Connect the 6-pin DT plug of the 381-8746 Sensor Harness As to the 6-pin receptacle of the 381-8747 Sensor Harness As .
Connect each of the (2) 6-pin DT plugs of the 311-8687 Sensor Harness As to the 6-pin DT receptacles integrated into each of the pressure switch.
Refer to Special Instruction listed above for further details on the configuration of the sensors for pressure switches. Additional Procedure to Install the Pressure Switches on a D3:C4 Nav 10.4 Display:
Locate the 4-pin DT plug and 6-pin DT plug
