Disconnect three cable assemblies (17) from the electric starting motors.

Disconnect two electrical harness connectors (18) for the engine.
Disconnect quick-start cable assembly (19) at the junction on the right frame rail.

Disconnect four hose assemblies (20) from brake oil cooler pump (21) .
Disconnect hose assembly (22) for the fuel supply.

Remove clip assembly (26) for the coolant tube.
Loosen hose clamps (23) and disconnect coolant tube assembly (25) from temperature regulator housing (24) .

Disconnect two hose assemblies (27) from refrigerant compressor (28) .
Remove two hose clips at the water pump. Place the two hose assemblies aside for the removal of the engine.Note: The two hose clips at the water pump are not shown in the above illustration.

Loosen hose clamp (30) and disconnect lower radiator hose (29) from the water pump.

Loosen two hose clamps (31) and disconnect two heater hoses (32) from the engine.

Disconnect three hose assemblies (33) for the coolant drain from drain valve (34) .Note: Drain valve (34) is located inside the left rear frame rail.

Remove four bolts (35) and support mounting cap (36) from both sides of the front engine mounts.

Remove two rear engine mount bolts (37) .Note: Prior to the removal of the engine and torque converter from the rear main frame, make sure that all hose assemblies, all tube assemblies and all wires have been disconnected.

Install Tooling (C) to the threaded holes that are located at the top of the torque converter housing.
Install Tooling (D) to the hoist.
Support the engine and the torque converter at the front by attaching one end of Tooling (D) to Tooling (C). Use suitable lifting chains to attach one end of Tooling (D) to Tooling (C), as shown.
Support the engine and the torque converter at the rear side. This support can be given by attaching the opposite end of Tooling (D) to the engine lifting eye. Use a suitable lifting chain to attach the opposite end of Tooling (D) to the engine lifting eye.

Note: It may be necessary to adjust Tooling (D) several times. This is done in order to achieve proper balance of the engine and the torque converter.
Carefully remove the engine and the torque converter from the rear main frame. The combined weight of the engine and the torque converter is 6860 kg (15100 lb).
