Transfer and bevel gears
(1) Transfer case
(2) Bevel gear
(3) Pinion
(4) Upper transfer gear
(5) Lower transfer gear
(6) Splines Transfer case (1) is bolted to the back of the transmission case.The output shaft from the transmission is connected to lower transfer gear (5) by splines (6). When a speed and direction are selected, the power is sent from the planetary transmission to the lower transfer gear. Lower transfer gear (5) causes upper transfer gear (4) to rotate.Upper transfer gear (4) turns pinion (3). Pinion (3) turns bevel gear (2). Bevel gear (2) turns the bevel gear on the outer shaft for the differential.Lubrication oil is sprayed on all of the components from tubes in the transmission case.
