Remove the paint from the area that will be welded.Note: Refer to Service Magazine, SEPD0459, 22 February 1999.
Use a 5 mm (0.20 inch) fillet weld to weld 8Y-3795 Boss (1) to the rear axle housing.
Clean the welded area. Paint the welded area and paint the boss (1) .

(2) 190-1706 Tube (J) Hole of oil distribution block
Insert 190-1706 Tube (2) into hole (J) of the oil distribution block.
Expand the end of the tube (2) after you insert the tube into the block. Expand the tube to 29.44 0.05 mm (1.16 0.002 inch). This will seal the tube properly.

Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to 8T-4136 Bolt (3) .
Use the following parts to install 190-1706 Tube (2) : 8T-4136 Bolt (3), 8T-4121 Hard Washer (4) and 4B-9302 Clip (5) .

Verify that the tube is installed properly.
After the tube is properly installed, clean the entire differential housing. Read Guidelines for Reusable Parts and Salvage Operations, SEBF8370, "Cleaning Rear Axle Housing Assemblies of 793 Off-Highway Trucks".
