This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3994" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3994" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
Although this Program is to be administered as described above on the Affected Product, parts should be removed from Parts Stock as soon as possible.

The 1178919 Ball Valve may fail on certain 325B and 330B Excavators equipped with a combined function auxiliary hydraulic circuit. When the ball valve is in the closed position it must withstand maximum system hydraulic pressure. It is in the closed position that the ball valve fails.

Rework Procedure
1. Park the machine on a level surface and place the front linkage in the servicing position.2. Shut off the engine and move the control levers for the boom, stick, bucket, swing, left and right travel to full stroke to release pressure in the pilot lines.3. Move the hydraulic activation control lever to the locked position, and remove the start switch key.4. Slowly loosen the hydraulic tank fill cap to release tank pressure. 5. Check the 1178919 Ball Valve for a "11/96" date code. See Illustration 3. If the ball valve has a "11/96" date code or later the valve does not need to be replaced.6. Loosen the swivel nut and remove Crossover Hose Assembly 1116545 at 6V9008 Elbow on bottom port of ball valve, see Illustration 2.7. Loosen four 8T5041 Bolts at the back of ball valve. See Illustration 2.8. Remove 8T5041 Bolt, 8T4223 Washer and 1P5767 Flange at the back of ball valve. See Illustration 2.9. Remove 1216379 Hose Assembly and the remaining (3) - 8T5041 Bolts, (3) - 8T4223 Washers and (1) - 1P5767 Flange. The
