Governor Cable Assembly
Screw nut (12) onto cable assembly (11) until full thread engagement is achieved. Thread rod end (13) to cable assembly (11). Place rod end (13) against nut (12). Tighten nut (12). Use pin assembly (14) to assemble the rod end to the pedal lever (15). Align the groove in the cable with the U-bolt on the pedal assembly. Tighten the nuts on the U-bolt.
Thread nut (5) onto the engine end of the cable assembly. Thread rod end (4) onto cable until full thread engagement is achieved. Lock with the nut (4). Align the rod end with the governor lever (8). Use bolt (1), washers (2), and locknut (3) in order to attach the cable assembly to the bracket on the engine.
Check the high idle speeds and the low idle speeds of the engine. If it is necessary to adjust the engine idle speeds, adjust the bulkhead nuts at the governor actuator. Tighten bulkhead nuts (10) to a torque of 38 7 N m (28 5 lb ft). Position stop screw (6) in order to contact the pedal at the high idle setting. Lock with the nut (7) .
