Install the truck body retaining pins.
When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.

Use Tooling (A) to support the machine. Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1303, "Lift Group (Stand - 25 Ton)" for more information on Tooling (A).

Use a suitable lifting device to support lateral control rod (1). The weight of lateral control rod (1) is approximately 23 kg (50 lb).
Disconnect grease hose assemblies (2). Remove bolts (3).

Use Tooling (B) to remove pins (4). Remove lateral control rod (1).

Remove retaining ring (5).
Use Tooling (C) to remove bearings (6).Installation Procedure
Install lateral control rod (1) in the reverse order of removal.
