Start By:
Remove the main hydraulic pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Main Hydraulic Pump - Remove". Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Remove screws (2) and coupling assembly (3) from main hydraulic pump (1).

Remove bolts (6) and inserts (5).
Remove alignment pins (7) from coupling (4).

Remove bolt (8) and bolt (9).
Install Tooling (A) in place of bolts (8) and (9).
Remove bolts (10).
Slide pump drive (11) onto Tooling (A).

Attach a suitable lifting device to pump drive (11). The weight of pump drive (11) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).
Use the suitable lifting device in order to remove pump drive (11).
Remove coupling element (12).
Remove bolts (14) and inserts (13). Installation Procedure

1/2 - 13 by 6 in 2 Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Attach Tooling (A) to flywheel (15).

Attach a suitable lifting device to pump drive (11). The weight of pump drive (11) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).
Install inserts (13) and bolts (14). Tighten bolts (14) to a torque of 465 25 N m (343 18 lb ft).
Install coupling element (12).
Use the suitable lifting device in order to position pump drive (11).

Remove the suitable lifting device. Slide pump drive (11) onto Tooling (A).
Install bolts (10).
Remove Tooling (A) and install bolts (8) and (9).

Install alignment pins (7) into coupling (4).
Install inserts (5) and bolts (6).
Illustration 11 g01372632Note: Position the large cut (5 mm by 45 degrees) of coupling (4) toward the pump side. Position the small cut (2 mm by 45 degrees) of coupling (4) toward the flywheel side.
Position coupling assembly (3) onto main hydraulic pump (1) so that coupling assembly (3) is flush with the end of the shaft of main hydraulic pump (1).
Install screws (2). Tighten screws (2) to a torque of 210 10 N m (155 7 lb ft).
