The throttle position signal from the PCP to the ECM is abnormal.Reference: If CID 1326 FMI 09 is also active, use the flow chart in MID PCP CID 1326 FMI 09 to troubleshoot.Test Step 1. DETERMINE WHICH TEST PROCEDURE TO FOLLOW.Determine if CID 0091 FMI 08 is active and CID 1326 FMI 09 is active.Expected Result: CID 0091 FMI 08 is active and CID 1326 FMI 09 is active.Results:
YES - Both CID 0091 FMI 08 (engine ECM) is active and CID 1326 FMI 09 (power train control processor) is not active.Repair: Go to Troubleshooting, " CID 1326 FMI 09".STOP
NO - Only CID 0091 FMI 08 (engine ECM) is active. Go to Test Step 2.STOPTest Step 2. CHECK THE CONNECTORS.
Turn the keyswitch to the OFF position.
Check the connectors for the following conditions: damage, corrosion, abrasion and incorrect attachment. Expected Result:The connectors are in good condition.Results:
OK - The connectors are in good condition. Go to Test Step 3.
