H 138-7575 Link Bracket 2 Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Attach Tooling (H) and a suitable lifting device to differential (15). The weight of differential (15) is approximately 227 kg (500 lb). Position differential (15) on Tooling (G). Remove Tooling (H) and the lifting device.

Install differential (15) and install nuts (16). Remove Tooling (G).

Install two nuts (14). Install yoke (13). Connect hose assembly (12). Install hose assembly (11) and install clamps (10). Install valve (9) and bolts (8). Connect harness assembly (7).

Install Tooling (D) and Tooling (E). Attach Tooling (F) and a suitable lifting device to Tooling (E) and Tooling (D).
Install tandem assembly (6). Install nuts (5). The weight of tandem assembly (6) is approximately 1588 kg (3500 lb). Tighten nuts (5) to a torque of 430 60 N m (317 44 lb ft).
Remove Tooling (E) from wheels (4).

Remove Tooling (D) from tandem (3).

Connect hose assembly (2).

Use Tooling (B) in order to raise the case and frame (1).
Remove Tooling (C) under the case and frame (1).

Remove Tooling (A).
Fill the oil in the power train system.
Fill the oil in the tandem housing. The capacity of the tandem housing for the 143H is 64 L (16.9 US gal). The capacity of the tandem housing for the 163H is 64 L (16.9 US gal). End By:
