Fasten Tool (A) and a hoist to hydraulic oil filter group (1). Carefully position the hydraulic oil filter group on the hydraulic oil tank. Install six bolts (3) and the washers that hold the hydraulic oil filter group in position.
Place the housing and bypass check valve (9) as a unit in position on the hydraulic oil filter group. Install four bolts (8) and the washers that hold the housing to the hydraulic oil filter group. Tighten four bolts (8) to a torque of 50 10 N m (37 7 lb ft).
Connect hose assembly (6) to the hydraulic oil filter group. Install two clamps (7) in order to hold the hose assembly in position.
Place pilot oil filter (4) and the hose assembly guide in position on the hydraulic oil filter group. Install two bolts (2) and the washers that hold the guide and the filter in position.
Connect electrical connectors (5) in the electrical connector's original locations.
When the main hydraulic pump has been serviced or the hydraulic oil has been replaced, the air in the hydraulic system must be purged. Do not start the engine until the main hydraulic pump has been filled with oil.Operating the hydraulic pump without proper lubrication will damage the pump and other hydraulic components.
Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities" for the proper oil viscosity and Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities" for the correct amount. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check" for the correct filling procedure.
To release the pressure from the main hydraulic pump, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Main Hydraulic Pump Air Pressure - Purge" in this manual.
