Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the shift cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Shift Cylinder - Remove".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Remove cover (1). Remove the O-ring seal from cover (1). Remove coil assemblies (2).

Remove tube (4). Remove O-ring seals (3).

Remove cartridge assemblies (5).
Loosen nut (7) and remove link (8).
Remove spool (6).

Remove retainer (9).

Remove ball (14). Remove O-ring seals (10) from tube (4).
Remove O-ring seal (11), O-ring seals (12), and backup rings (13) from each cartridge assembly (5).
