Information:

Tests should be performed on tires or loose dirt. Tires are recommended. Never operate the vibration system when the machine is on concrete.
The oil in the system must be SAE 10W hydraulic oil. The oil temperature must be 38°C (100°F) to get correct results.1. Make sure the parking brake is applied and the propulsion control lever is in the STOP position. Make sure the vibratory control switch on the propulsion control lever is in the OFF position.
End Of Drum Area
(1) Motor. (2) Drain line.
End Of Drum Area
(1) Motor. (4) Flowmeter. (5) Fabricated hose.2. Disconnect hydraulic hoses (2) from vibratory motor (1).3. Install fabricated hose (3) to vibratory motor (1) and flow meter (4).4. Install 4C-6500 Temperature Probe into hydraulic tank.5. Move vibratory selector switch to the low amplitude position.6. Start and run the machine at high idle until the hydraulic oil temperature reaches 38°C (100°F). Engine rpm should be 2350 50 rpm.7. With the vibratory system off and the machine at high idle, read the amount of oil flow through the flow meter (4). The flow should be less than 1.0 gpm.8. Depress the vibratory control switch to the ON position to start the vibratory system. The flow should be a minimum of 6.1 liter/min (1.6 gpm) to a maximum 13.6 liter/min (3.6 gpm).9. Depress the vibratory control switch to the OFF position to stop the vibration system. Stop the engine.10. Move the vibratory amplitude selector switch to the HIGH position.11. Repeat steps 7, 8, and 9.12. If the flow is not within 6.1 liter/min. to 13.6 liter/min (1.6 gpm to 3.6 gpm), the vibratory motor and/or flushing valve should be repaired or replaced.13. Remove all test tooling and connect hydraulic hose (2) to vibratory motor (1).Tachometer Calibration

Control Console
(1) Vibratory control switch. (2) Amplitude selector switch.2. Move amplitude selector switch (2) to the HIGH AMPLITUDE position.3. Start and run the engine at high idle. Engine rpm should be 2350 50 rpm.
Steering Console
(3) Vibrations per gauge (VPM).4. Depress vibratory control control switch (1) to the ON position to start the vibratory system. Read the vibrations per minute (vpm) from optional; gauge (3).
End Of Drum Area
(4) 773904 Hand held tachometer.5. Read and compare the vpm from 773904 Tachometer (4).6. If gauge (3) reading is not the same as tachometer (4), gauge (3) should be calibrated. Continue with the Vibratory Tachometer Calibrations. If gauge reading (3) is significantly different from hand held 773904 Tachometer (4), the magnetic sensor output should be verified. Verify accuracy of the magnetic sensor before calibrating optional tachometer (3).
Vibratory Tachometer
(5) Dial. (6) Small calibration screw.7. Set large dial (5) on #8.8. Use small calibration screw (6)
