Hopper Hoist
Illustration 6 g00733956
Schematic for the Hopper Hoist (6) Cylinders for hopper hoist (27) Raise solenoid (hopper) (28) Supply line (29) Return line (30) Lower solenoid (hopper)When the engine is running and the hopper hoist control is placed in the RAISE position, left solenoid (27) energizes in order to shift the valve to the right. The left side of the valve routes oil from supply line (28) to the rod ends of cylinders (6). The rod ends move upward in order to raise the hoppers. The return oil from the piston head ends of the cylinders is routed through the valve to return line (29). The return line routes the oil to the front return manifold. When the engine is running and the hopper hoist control is placed in the LOWER position, right solenoid (30) energizes in order to shift the valve to the left. The right side of the valve routes oil from supply line (28) to the head ends of cylinders (6). The rod ends move down in order to lower the hoppers. The return oil from the rod ends of the cylinders is routed through the valve to return line (29). The return line routes the oil to the front return manifold.Auger Hoist
Newer Machines with Dual Auger Lift Cylinders
Illustration 7 g00733957
Schematic for the Auger Hoist (9) Auger lift cylinder (31) Raise solenoid (auger) (32) Supply line (33) Return line (34) Lower solenoid (auger) (35) Auger lift cylinder (36) BypassWhen the engine is running and the auger raise/lower control is placed in the RAISE position, left solenoid (31) energizes in order to shift the valve to the right. The left side routes oil from supply line (32) to the rod end of cylinder (9). The rod end moves upward in order to raise the augers. The oil from the head end of cylinder (9) is routed to the rod end of cylinder (35). The return oil from the head end of cylinder (35) is routed through the valve to return line (33). The return line routes the oil to the rear return manifold. When the engine is running and the auger raise/lower control is placed in the LOWER position, right solenoid (34) energizes in order to shift the valve to the left. The right side routes oil from supply line (32) to the head end of cylinder (35). The rod end moves down in order to lower the augers. The oil from the rod end of the cylinder is routed to the head end of cylinder (9). The rod end moves down in order to lower the augers. The return oil for the rod end of cylinder (9) is routed through the valve to return line (33). The return line routes the oil to the rear return manifold. The cylinders (9) and (35) are connected in series. The displacement of the head end of cylinder (9) is equal to the displacement of the rod end of cylinder (35). This causes the movement of the frame of the auger to be parallel
