1. Remove the bolts and covers (1) and (2) from the case and housing. 2. Remove bolt (4) and spring assembly (3) from the control linkage.3. Remove bolt (pin) (5) and cam (6) from the control linkage. 4. Remove bolts (pins) (7) and levers (8) from the control linkage. 5. Remove roll pins (10) and rollers (9) from levers (8). 6. Loosen locknuts (14) and remove rods (13) from the transmission hydraulic control valve.7. Remove bolts (12) and housing (11) from the case.Install Transmission Control Linkage
1. Inspect and make a replacement if necessary of O-ring seals (2).2. Make sure O-ring seals (2) are in position and install housing (1) on the case. 3. Put the locknuts in position on rods (3) and install the rods in the spools. 4. Install rollers (5) on levers (4) with the roll pins that hold them. 5. Put levers (4) in position in the housing and install bolts (pins) (6) that hold them. 6. Put cam (8) in position in the housing and install bolt (pin) (9) to hold it.7. Install spring assembly (7) in the housing as shown.8. To adjust the transmission control linkage put the spring assembly in the detent on the cam marked four. Turn the spools in the hydraulic control valve until they are even with the outside surface of the hydraulic control valve opposite the control linkage. Tighten the locknuts on the rods to a torque of 34 7 N m (25 5 lb.ft.). For more information see TESTING AND ADJUSTING.9. Install the gaskets and covers on the case and housing.
