Introduction
This instruction provides the necessary procedure for installing carrier rollers to the D6H LGP machines. The LGP tractors have a longer length of track and wider shoes than the standard models. The addition of the carrier rollers will help support the additional shoe width and length of track. It will also aid in maintaining the proper sag under a variety of underfoot conditions and reduce track slap and noise by smoothing out upper side track travel.Reference: Service Manual and Parts BookNecessary Parts

Plate 1.1. Fabricate two Plates (1) from high strength structural steel [ T-1 (A514)] to the dimensions shown in the illustration above.
Plate 2.2. Fabricate two Plates (2) from high strength structural steel [T-1 (A514)] to the dimensions shown in the illustration above.
Plate 3.3. Fabricate two Plates (3) from high strength structural steel [T-1 (A514)] to the dimensions shown in the illustration above.Installing Carrier Roller
1. Loosen track adjustment mechanism before starting carrier roller installation procedure. Check Service Manual for proper procedure. 2. Raise the track by attaching one end of a lifting device to the track and the other end to the strap located on the front and top of the cab or ROPS. Place a block between the track and the roller frame to help support the track.Any overhead lifting device with adequate capacity may also be used. 3. Measure 626 mm (24.7 in) from the front of the rear track roller frame casting and scribe a line parallel to the machined front casting face. This is to locate the front face of Plate 1. 4. Fasten Plates (1) and (2) to 8Y1388 Bracket Assembly with 1D4709 Bolts and 5P8250 Washers. Hand tighten the bolts.Plates (1) and (2) will be inter-changed when working on the opposite side of the tractor. 5. Align the assembly from (Step 4) on the frame with the front face of Plate (1) on the previously scribed line. Place a square on the top of the bracket facing down and measure to the center of the equalizer bar pin located on the inside of the roller frame. The distance from the center of this pin to the top of the carrier roller bracket should be 480 mm (18.9 in).Place a 330 × 50 × 101 mm (13 × 2 × 4 in) wooden block between the top of the bracket and the tractor frame. This will help hold the bracket in place while the final adjustments with the square are being made. Fasten the track adjustment cover plate to the track roller frame, without the o-ring, before preforming any welding to keep weld spatter from getting into the roller frame.6. Tack weld Plate (1) to the track roller frame. Verify that Plate (3) will fit between Plates (1) and (2). If it does not fit, loosen the bolts enough to allow it to slide between the plates. Remove Plate (3) and tighten the bolts. 7. Tack weld Plate (2) to the track roller frame.8. Make two passes to complete a 10 mm (0.4
