Steering Frame Lock in the LOCKED Position (1) Steering frame lock.
Move steering frame lock (1) to the LOCKED position.
Engage the parking brake. Move the transmission direction selector to the NEUTRAL position.

Install hydraulic line (8). Connect one end of hydraulic line (8) to pressure tap (10). Pressure tap (10) is for the steering pump. Connect the other end of hydraulic line (8) to the tee on pressure differential gauge group (6). Pressure tap (10) is located on the right side of the machine and above the hydraulic oil tank.
Install hydraulic line (4). Connect hydraulic line (4) between signal pressure tap (2) and the single pressure port on pressure differential gauge group (6). Signal pressure tap (2) is located next to steering metering pump (3) for machines with HMU steering. The signal pressure tap is located on the right side of the machine to the rear of the hydraulic tank for machines with command control steering.Note: Position pressure differential gauge group (6) and hydraulic lines (4) and (8) in order to prevent damage from any machine movement. Position the test equipment in order to allow a second technician to observe and record the pressure readings.
Start the engine. Operate the engine at high idle. Move the tilt control lever to the TILT BACK position in order to increase the temperature of the oil to normal operating temperature. The oil is at normal operating temperature when the hydraulic oil temperature indicator is between the first mark and the second mark. Check for oil leaks.
After the oil has reached normal operating temperature, lower the bucket to the ground. Stop the engine.

Move steering frame lock (1) to the STORED position.
Start the engine. Raise the bucket until the bucket is slightly off the ground. Run the engine at high idle.Note: During the following steps, do not continue to turn the steering wheel once the machine ceases to articulate. Once the machine ceases to articulate in one direction, immediately turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction. Make sure that you turn the steering wheel at a constant rate. The pressure that is indicated on pressure gauge (9) will vary with the speed
